Ant Barrier $2.99- Constructed of recycled materials,
this environmentally friendly product will give many years of effective
use. Hang above any nectar or fruit feeder that ants, or other crawling
bugs, have discovered and they will be prevented from accessing your feeder.
A watertight grommet holds the copper wire hangers centered in the cup.
While water can be used as an effective barrier, in locations where the
water will evaporate quickly, we recommend using a petroleum jelly as a
coating on the inside of the cup. The ants will not cross the sticky substance.
Instead, they will scent-mark the cup with formic acid to prevent other
ants from attempting to cross this barrier. The ant will simply avoid using
the feeder if they can't cross the barrier. Does not harm or kill ants. |
